The 2025-2026 school year marks Mr. Leflet's 31st year in public school music education. Mr. Leflet currently serves as the Director of Bands at Marble Falls High School and is starting his 8th year of teaching in Marble Falls I.S.D. His job responsibilities include teaching the Mustang Marching Band, High School Wind Ensemble, High School Non-Varsity Jazz Band, all Beginning Low Brass classes at Marble Falls Middle School and co- teaching all other secondary instrumental ensembles.
Mr.Leflet Received his Bachelors Degree in Music and Masters Degree in Music Education from Southwest Texas State University. During his time at SWTSU Mr.Leflet was involved with many ensembles including the Wind Ensemble, Jazz Ensembles, Trombone Choir, and Orchestra to name a few. On a personal note, Mr. Leflet just celebrated his 30th wedding anniversary with wife Yarda. They are the proud parents of two boys, Jack (22) and Jonathan (18). Jack is a graduate of Marble Falls High School and Jonathan is a Senior this year. |

Omar A. Cordova is on his 6th year of his teaching career and his 1st year at Marble Falls High School as the Associate Band Director. He is also the Director of the Mustang Jazz Ensemble and he assists with the Marble Falls Middle School band program. Before moving to Marble Falls, he was located in San Angelo for 2 years, teaching as the Assistant Band Director at Lake View High School and Lincoln Middle School. Prior to that, he taught at Fort Stockton Middle School for 3 years, working as the assistant band director for one year and as the head director the next two years. Under his direction, his bands have received superior and excellent ratings at UIL and numerous awards at other contests.
Originally from El Paso, Texas, Mr. Cordova earned both his Master’s of Music in Conducting and his Bachelor’s of Music in Music Education at UTEP. During his time at UTEP, Mr. Cordova performed with numerous ensembles, assisted with the UTEP athletic band program, and conducted the Concert Band. Outside of UTEP, he currently performs with the Hill Country Community Band and has also performed with the San Angelo Community Band, the Big Bend Community Band, Paso Del Norte Big Band, and the Gilbert & Sullivan Company of El Paso Summer Orchestra. He also worked with several high school marching bands in the El Paso region. Mr. Cordova marched with The Academy Drum and Bugle Corps (based in Tempe, AZ) from 2013 to 2015. During his time with The Academy, he performed in many locations around the United States, including the Super Bowl XLIX in Glendale, AZ. In his third and final year, he served as the trumpet section leader and was awarded the Most Outstanding Brass Member Award. In 2025, he joined the brass instructional staff at Arsenal Drum and Bugle Corps (based in El Paso, TX) as a way to give back to the activity that helped shaped both his musicianship and his life. Mr. Cordova is an active member of the Jazz Band Directors Cohort, the Association of Texas Small School Bands, the Texas Music Educators Association, the Texas Jazz Educators Association, and the Texas Bandmasters Association. |

John Tyree is beginning his fourth year as the Percussion Director for Marble Falls ISD. Mr. Tyree is a percussionist originally from small-town Kentucky and holds a Bachelors in Music Education from Morehead State University and a Masters in Music Performance from Boston Conservatory.
Known for his versatility as a musician, he brings with him years of experience performing in contemporary, classical, jazz, rock, marching, and world music settings. Mr. Tyree has played with So Percussion, members of the SilkRoad Ensemble, the Commonwealth Lyric Opera, the North End Performing Arts Center, Sacred Winds, and the Cave Run Symphony Orchestra. His passion as a musician lies in collaboration, having worked with many different ensembles, composers, and artists including Sound Icon, David Crowell, Ben Levin, Bent Knee, and many others. As a teacher, Mr. Tyree has taught at a variety of schools around the country for more than 10 years, most recently serving as the Percussion Director for Weiss High School. In his first three years at Marble Falls, he has worked to grow the percussion program which is now made up of 60+ students each year. Under his direction, the Marble Falls Percussion program has established an annual Percussion Concert, consistently has several students make the Region Band and advance to Area, has had multiple students earn gold medals and Outstanding Performer at TSSEC, and ranked 14th at the 2024 State Marching Contest. Additionally, the Marble Falls Drumline can be found performing at events all around Central Texas, most recently performing for the 2025 Texas Elementary Principals & Supervisors Association Conference. Mr. Tyree is an active member the Percussive Arts Society and the Texas Music Educators Association. |

Christian Rodriguez is entering his second year with the Mustang Band as the Head Middle School Director. Originally from Alice, Texas, Mr. Rodriguez was spent the past seven years working at both Alice High School and William Adams Middle School. Mr. Rodriguez is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelors in Music Studies. While at UT Austin, he had the absolute privilege of studying under Dr. Robert Carnochan, Dr. Stephen Page and Harvey Pittel. Mr. Rodriguez performed with The University of Texas Longhorn Band, The University of Texas Wind Symphony, and The University of Texas Saxophone Ensemble. Additionally he has performed with community groups, The Corpus Christi Wind Symphony, and The Corpus Christi Municipal Band.
Mr. Rodriguez is excited to continue his career with the Marble Falls community and be a part of the Marble Falls Band Family. |

Mr. Regalis will be starting the 2024-2025 school year as the new Assistant Band Director at Marble Falls Middle School. He is proud to be born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, and is an alumnus of John Paul Stevens High School. Mr. Regalis most recently graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Studies (Music Education) from the University of Texas at San Antonio. During his time at UTSA, Mr. Regalis had the privilege of studying under the baton of Professor Ron Ellis, Dr. John Zarco, and Professor Troy Peters. He studied privately with Dr. Steve Parker and Professor John Caputo. While at UTSA, Mr. Regalis was a 4 year member of the Spirit of San Antonio Marching Band and one of the Trombone Section Student Staff Members for 3 years. Mr. Regalis also was a member of the UTSA Rowdy Roadrunner Spring Pep Band for 3 years. Mr. Regalis performed in several concert ensembles including the UTSA Wind Ensemble, UTSA Orchestra, UTSA Symphonic Band, UTSA University Band, and UTSA Trombone Choir. Mr. Regalis holds a Distinction in Performance Certificate from the UTSA School of Music in Bass Trombone Performance. Mr. Regalis is a very active member in community ensembles around San Antonio performing with the San Antonio Brass Band, Heart of Texas Concert Band, River City Big Band, Boerne Village Band, and he even co-founded a new community trombone ensemble called the San Antonio Slide Association.
This will be Mr. Regalis’ second year at Marble Falls. His teaching responsibilities include directing the Marble Falls Middle School Symphonic Band, Marble Falls Middle School Jazz Band, as well as teaching several beginning Band sections. He will assist in teaching the MFMS Wind Ensemble, MFMS Concert Band, MFHS Mustang Marching Band, as well as all other beginner band classes. Mr. Regalis is so excited to join the growing Marble Falls community and provide a enriching, inclusive musical experience for all of his students in the Marble Falls Middle School Band Program. In his free time, Mr. Regalis enjoys watching NBA Basketball (San Antonio Spurs), NFL Football (Philadelphia Eagles), MLB Baseball (Texas Rangers). Mr. Regalis also loves to watch movies (Star Wars/Marvel). He enjoys spending time with his two dogs (Brutus, Loki), as well as spending time with family and friends! Mr. Regalis’ professional affiliations include TMEA, TBA, NABBA, and Kappa Kappa Psi National Honorary Band Fraternity. |
